We asked Dave to design a ring as a birthday present and right from the start we were so impressed with how helpful he was and his attention to detail. Dave sourced the beautiful stones and allowed me time to pick out which stone I wanted. I had a rough idea in my head about what design I wanted but Dave managed to put these ideas on paper with sketches of different ring styles and settings and together we chose the perfect ring. I also had an issue with a loose stone in my engagement ring and Dave was able to fix it and it is like a brand new ring. Dave has such talent and has created so many beautiful unique pieces. His professionalism and helpfulness is second to none and he was always available to patiently answer any questions I had during the process. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone who is looking for an original piece of jewellery. I am absolutely delighted with my ring and wouldn’t consider buying a piece of jewellery from anyone else.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with David. He made my engagement ring and our wedding bands using some gold of my mam's, all during Level 5 lockdown. We communicated over the phone and WhatsApp to plan the rings. David brought our ideas to life with sketches and gave guidance throughout the process. David was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I ordered a gold band stacker ring as a gift and he made the whole process from ordering the ring to delivery seamless. David also gave some really good advice on the style and shape of the ring so it would stack correctly alongside my wife's wedding ring.
He was also able to provide a few snaps of the making of the ring. This made the gift that extra special as it added a real personal touch.
I would highly recommend him as a jeweller and will definitely be buying more items from him in the future.

My partner and I asked David Wilson Jewellery for two wedding bands, we liked the look of his work from his Instagram page. We had a lot of ideas of different designs that we might like but were not really sure about anything from the design to the metal, we talked through several ideas with David on a couple of occasions. He sketched out some ideas and it was clear he was on the same page as us and we immediately trusted his judgement. He translated our vague, unusual requests into an idea we both loved!
We have a love of nature and the outdoors and David was able to capture this with a subtle but beautiful bird design into the two rings. We are both pretty fussy so were a little bit nervous getting rings in the first place, we have been married a month and we both love the rings made by David. We feel like we have something that is both traditional and unique. David is a gentleman, a pleasure to deal with and an extremely talented jeweller. We would highly recommend him!

Each creation is a truly unique one-off piece of the highest quality and craftsmanship.
After an initial consultation, David produces a set of sketches showing the different designs, materials and finishes that are possible, including the cost of each option. He is happy to advise on design elements or to suggest variations on a concept, based on his experience of working with the different materials being incorporated into any piece.
David's talent in crafting the chosen option is evident from the stunning end result itself and from the photo log that he provides, showing the different stages throughout the creative process to the finished article. This was the first piece of jewellery I have ever commissioned. We wanted something special to mark a significant milestone for my mother. David was able to visualise a unique and special piece of jewellery from the conversations we had over the phone. He sent sketches showing what the necklace would look like from different angles. I asked David to design a ring for me, but I had only the vaguest of ideas of what style. A disaster of a client I imagine! David suggested a few possibilities, and skilfully drew out what it was I wanted. He created some sketches, and I decided on one, a North Star ring. I trusted his judgement completely, and he kept in touch with me throughout the process. My ring arrived this week, and it's more beautiful than I had hoped. Myself and my fiancee Chris asked David to make us two rings - an engagement ring for me and a wedding band for Chris. I can honestly say we are thrilled with how both turned out! I'm so fussy about jewellery, so I was a little apprehensive even thinking about having something made, but I'm so glad I did. I don't know how, but David managed to incorporate every little detail I wanted into my ring and it actually couldn't be more perfect for me.
The stone in my engagement ring is a London Blue Topaz - it throws shades of blue, teal and turquoise, colours to represent our love of the sea. David incorporated a nod to French design with the beautiful Art Deco shoulders - Chris is French, so this was such a lovely feature to include. The ring feels like is a combination of both of us, which we love!
We also asked David to enlarge and repair the beautiful pearl, gold and diamond ring that Chris proposed to me with - it belonged to his mother and before that it had been passed down through generations of Chris' family; so it was really important to us to keep the ring's integrity and to ensure it was preserved for future generations. David was the only jeweller we went to who said he could enlarge it without damaging it; so, eventually I'll be able to wear it as my wedding band.
Chris' wedding band is a mix of three metals and it is so beautiful; the effect of the merged metals is a Japanese technique David uses, it's called Mokume Gane. He even incorporated a little piece of gold from the ring Chris proposed with - you can clearly see that on the inside of his band, another little nod to Chris' family.
The entire experience working with Dave was such a delight, from start to finish...and so much fun. We're just sad it's all over! We honestly can't recommend Dave highly enough. Not only is he a gentleman and an all-round sound guy, he's such a talented designer and craftsman. We feel so lucky to have such unique rings that will forever have meaning and importance to us - pieces we will be so proud to wear forever ... till death do us part!! :) Merci beaucoup, Dave.

My engagement ring was missing it's emerald and a couple of it's small diamonds so I contacted David to see if he could do anything with it. David was a joy to work with. He's very patient. David showed me several emeralds and and together we chose a beautiful replacement emerald and small diamonds. The ring now looks like it is brand new ( it is 30 years old ) after his restoration work which, as well as replacing the stones, involved some work on the gold band. I'm very, very happy with David's work and highly recommend him.
